Maps — An island before and after tourist facilities

The two maps show an island as it was in its natural state and the same island after tourist facilities were built on it.

Overall, a completely undeveloped island with nothing but a beach and scattered trees has been turned into a small resort, with accommodation, dining and transport facilities concentrated in its western and central parts, while the beach, the trees and the coastline itself have been left untouched.

Before development, the island was uninhabited. Clusters of trees grew across the middle and along the eastern side, and the only notable feature was a beach on the western coast.

After development, the island centres on a reception building located in the middle of the western half. Around it, two groups of tourist huts have been built — one to the north and one to the east — linked to the reception and to each other by footpaths. A restaurant now stands in the north, connected to the reception by a vehicle track, the island's only road. To the south-west, a pier has been constructed to receive boats, with a footpath leading up the beachside to the main complex, and the sea beside the beach has been marked out as a designated swimming area. The trees, meanwhile, remain exactly where they were.
