The chart shows the gender balance of six faculties at Corvin University in 2024, using percentage-stacked bars.
Overall, the faculties form a spectrum: engineering and computing are heavily male, medicine and education lean clearly female, and business sits almost exactly at the midpoint. Strikingly, education''s balance is close to a mirror image of engineering''s.
At the male end, engineering enrols 74 per cent men — three in every four students — with computing close behind at 69 per cent. These are the only faculties where men exceed two-thirds.
Moving across the spectrum, business is the university''s most balanced faculty at 51 per cent male, and law tips the other way with women at 56 per cent. The female majority then widens sharply: women make up 61 per cent of medicine and fully 78 per cent of education — meaning the faculty at one end of the chart and the faculty at the other have almost identical imbalances, simply with the sexes reversed. No faculty at Corvin, it is worth noting, achieves an exact 50–50 split.
