Overall, Darwin has a starkly two-season climate: rain is concentrated almost entirely between November and April and virtually disappears in mid-year, whereas temperature is remarkably stable, varying by barely five degrees across the whole year.

The wet season dominates the chart. Rainfall peaks in January at about 427 millimetres, stays above 300 mm through March, and then falls off a cliff: April receives around 102 mm, and by June the monthly total is effectively zero.
