The table shows how much one country earned, in billions of US dollars, from three export sectors in 2019, 2021 and 2024.
Overall, total export income rose strongly over the period, driven almost entirely by electronics, which consolidated its position as the leading sector. Textiles, by contrast, were the only category to finish the period worth less than they had been at the start.
Electronics dominated the country's export performance. Already the largest earner in 2019 at $45 billion, the sector expanded in every interval to reach $78 billion by 2024—a rise of nearly three-quarters that left it worth more than the other two sectors combined. Agricultural exports, meanwhile, climbed steadily if unspectacularly from $22 billion to $31 billion, overtaking textiles along the way.
Textile earnings traced a far less favourable path. Having dipped from $30 billion to $25 billion in 2021, they recovered only partially to $28 billion, thereby ending the period marginally below their original level—the one weak spot in an otherwise expanding export economy.
